Jo Ann Wood was raised in Mississippi, a country girl.  She moved to Nashville Tennessee area in 1968 then on to Marietta Georgia before going back to the Nashville area with husband who was in the music business.  They moved back to Mississippi in 1981.  She wandered into a Master's Artist class in 1983 thinking she could never do this and found she loved it.  In 1986 Jan opened an art Gallery selling art work of many artists.  In 1988 she opened "The Gallery" a full line fine art supply store and teaching gallery hosting many national known artists and began teaching weekly classes myself.  She travels and teaches on request, does commission and gallery work as well as writes on art subjects. Jan have many painting packets available.  Painting carries her away with out ever leaving home into a world most only dream of. 

Jan's mission is to learn all she can about art, from the beginner to the master artist and to share her love of art and what she have learned with others.
