| About the Artist I
received my BFA in Graphic Arts at James Madison University. Soon after
finishing college, I married a tobacco farmer, went to work full time, raised
two wonderful kids, and went to tons of ball games. My husband no longer raises
tobacco and the kids are grown so I find myself back in the art field.
Over the years, I have taught some private lessons and demonstrated photography
techniques at the local high school. Recently, I have continued my education by
studying painting under Karolyn Hawthorne and Photography under Robert Harris.
Once I retire from work, I plan to devote much time to my painting and
photography. I will then be available for teaching private or group lessons.
I have spent my entire life on the farm and I love being outside and finding the
beauty in ordinary things. Animals, flowers and rustic rural images often
inspire my artwork. I can find beauty in almost anything!
