| About the Artist
Deborah was the typical child that loved to doodle drawings and color projects
at a young age. Deborah's desire to advance her artistic skills developed
during her junior high and high school years thanks to her art teacher, Mr.
Terrance Young and winning a gold medal for her collage/mixed media piece in the
Scholastic Art show. Deborah, with her love for art, desire and positive
attitude has produced beautiful works of art. She attended Elgin Community
College where she majored in art and completed the Alexander Art teachers
program.
Deborah has studied with Joan Darflinger, David Fisher,
Tony Carnesecchi and others. When the opportunity arose, Deborah began
teaching children's oil painting classes for the Darflinger Art Studio and for
Tony and Friends Art Studio. She continues as the Saturday morning Art
Instructor and has added adult "make-it-take-its" and added one day art
workshops.
Deborah is a certified Alexander Instructor. She is
also the art instructor for the Dundee Township Park District for senior
citizens oil painting and art classes in C'ville, Ill. She is busy setting
up children's art classes at the Lowery School of Music in West Dundee, Ill.
