| About the Artist
Robert majored in art at both Ohio University and Ohio State University, but his
ala prima style of painting and teaching are basically self-taught, although
greatly influenced by his mentor and dear friend, the late William Alexander.
From landscapes to classic portraits, Robert makes complex subjects easy to
understand, analyze, and paint in a very relaxed atmosphere. Modern
techniques developed by Robert offer the best and easiest approach to different
styles and subjects
As a professional artist for over 20 years, Robert has taught
classes world wide. Described as one of the most productive artists in the
country, he has established a successful career in art instruction.
He has produced over 200 instructional art shows for television and has authored
numerous instructional books and packets. His instructional
television shows have been broadcast for over 10 years. Through his
classes and videos, he has made a point of passing his great love of art to many
of his students.
Wildlife to still life, landscapes to floral paintings, you
will find a variety of subjects in Roberts pattern packets. The packets,
for all skill levels, are all award-winning projects and have been proven in
select workshops and seminars throughout the country.
Robert Warren's Art Loft studio is housed in a century old
meeting hall in the small village of Canal Winchester, Ohio. Canal Winchester is
a suburb of Columbus, but is far removed from the hustle and bustle of the city.
The first floor of the Art Loft showcases many of Robert's original paintings
and the second floor is the classroom. Classes are available for people of all
skill levels, but there is a focus on intermediate to advanced students.
Robert and his
son, Shawn, have also recently began offering artistic framing and matting at
the Gallery. They have framed everything from children's art to priceless
memorabilia in shadow boxes
