| About the Artist
Since Chicago born artist, Diane Nielsen Wallace first picked up a paintbrush
over 25 years ago, her creative drive has taken her from an eager beginner to an
active painter, instructor and studio owner. She has studied drawing,
painting and design with nationally known television artists, integrating many
"teachable techniques" into her own characteristic style. She has achieved
Instructor certification status from the Alexander Art, Koh-I Nor/Grumbacher and
Winsor Newton-ColArt companies.
Diane's love of the ocean led her to make the moved from
the Midwest to St. Augustine, Fl. where she opened a studio/gallery.
Thousands of students have been introduced to the pleasure of painting during
the 7 years she operated Paint n Palette on Anastasia Island. She is the
author of 3 published instructional books on oil painting as well as magazine
articles and project packages.
The artist works in both oils and watercolors in a wide
variety of themes including landscapes, florals, seascapes and portraiture.
She is available to teach private lessons and seminars.
