| About the Artist In the last 20 years I have also studied under a variety of talented artists in several different mediums. I have studied the "Wet on Wet" technique with Bill Alexander, Lowell Speers, Robert Warren and Buck Paulson. I won the national Alexander Art Club annual contest in 1987. I am currently a member of TEAM, Koh-I-Nor Certified artists, CAN (Creative Artists Network). I have been a teacher at Alexander Headquarters in Oregon and a guest lecturer in Utah, Pennsylvania and Oregon. I have been the featured Artist of the Month in the Alexander Art Magazine, Artist of the Month in the New Jersey Herald and the Vernon News. I have also done demonstrations on WSUS TV and Jefferson Cable. My articles have been published in magazines such as "State of the Art", "Alexander Art" and "Fire In". My card design was chosen for the 2006 ABF Freight Company Christmas card and the original painting was featured on the cover of the company's "By-Lines" magazine. "PaintWorks" magazine published two of my holiday card designs, along with detailed drawings and instructions in their "A Paint Works Christmas" edition. I am certified in acrylics with Brenda Harris. I have also studied acrylics with Kathye Bagala and Jerry Yarnell. I have certified in water colors and studied with Scott Mattlin, Claudia Nice, Toni Chaplan, Joe Miller, Betty Denton, Kathie George and Linda L Moyer. I have studied pen and ink with Toni Chaplan, Claudia Nice and Ed Brickler. Advanced instruction oil classes have been under Bill Alexander, Robert Warren, Buck Paulson, Estee Rayle, Valerie Stewart and David Weaver. China painting with Betty Laccacorvi. I was awarded the inspirational award by the NE Regional TEAM. from Koh-I-Nor. This award was given for being an enthusiastic regional leader and an integral part of teaching the new TEAM group. I strive to inspire others to pursue and improve their creative talents. I am currently the vice president of TEAM North east. I have participated in numerous juried art shows ( Ringwood Manor and Ridgewood Art Association are two examples) in several states and my paintings are found in private collections throughout America. I live in rural Sussex County, New Jersey.
