| About the Artist
I was born in Bakersfield, CA, 12/01/1940. I was raised in CA most of my life. My mother was a single mom until I was 8 yrs. At this time she married a farmer by the name of Bill Schultz. I took my first place prize in art while I was still in grade school. This made me want to be an artist. When I started High School I wanted to major in art, Dad said no I couldn't make a living in art, so business was my major. In 1960 I married John Slikker and we started our family (3 sons). John has always supported me in all of my endeavors; so I started taking those long awaited art lessons in 1976. To make things short I met Robert Warren at one of the conventions. I saw what I wanted my work to look like. I started in his certification program and became one of his teachers. I am now active in the teaching world. I am lookin forward to becoming a traveling art teacher, for clubs and conventions.
