| About the Artist Years ago, the number too numerous to mention, Norma found herself in a dilemma. She found that she had free time on her hands and, being a person who likes to keep busy, looked for something to do with it. Little did she know what a great treat was in store for her. The first treat was picking up a paint brush and loading it with magic, not with paint but with pure magic. The second was watching the magic perform as the brush slid, slipped and danced across her canvas. She fell in love, she was hooked, there was no turning back. From that day on she would no longer be a mom, a wife, a doer of all things that they do. She was now an ARTIST, too. Norma feels that only other artists can share this feeling, it is a special feeling, a feeling of an unspoken bond between artist and other artist and between artist and their work (their magic.) Norma has a shop in Forest Park, Georgia where she teaches classes and workshops She conducts 2 or 4 day portrait seminars, creative seminars and Teacher Certification Seminars. She has authored nine instructional books on oil and acrylic canvas painting and one on fabric painting. Norma has had four television series on PBS TV teaching oil and acrylic on canvas. She is a versatile artist and teaches a variety of mediums – from realism through impressionism. She also relies on a wide range of techniques – from washes to impasto to adding papers to her work. Norma shows her work nationally and has won many awards to include Best In Show awards.
