| About the Artist
I love people and
find no better way to share that love than to capture a person in oil. Not just
a likeness, but a mirror of the personality, character and soul. I am primarily
self-taught. In 1965 I graduated from the Famous Artist School and established
the Karen Patton School of Fine Arts.
Not only do I practice my profession as a
commission portrait artist, I also teach and travel extensively giving portrait
workshops, offering lessons in portrait painting via my Video Studio, and I am
currently writing a book.
In addition to teaching portrait techniques around
the country in my workshops and on video for use in your home, I have been
painting commission portraits for more than 30 years.
