Barbara, a native of Florida began painting in the summer of 2000.  She finds painting therapeutic and fun.  She also takes her work seriously and looks for ways to improve her work.  Barbara has sold a number of her paintings to friends, co-workers and others who have seen them...sometimes before the paint dries.. and has done an occasional commission piece.

She was first introduced to painting through a Bob Ross course at a Community Education course.  Barbara continued studying under Sylvia Wilkerson and Tony Carchia and attended a Bob Ross floral workshop in New Smyrna Beach.  She has progressed well enough to enter a painting into competition with her company and placed sixth out of over 70 entries.  She enjoys sharing her paintings with her co-workers and keeps her latest painting hanging in frames in the front office area at her job.

Barbara's painting goal is to be sufficiently capable by the time she retires to put what she see onto canvas and be satisfied with the quality of her work and maybe sell a little too.
