About the Artist
Frank and family moved from Philly in 1992.
He is mainly self- taught in oils, acrylics, pen and ink and watercolor pencils.
Frank has studied at the Samuel S. Fleisher Art Memorial in Philly as well as
with other local artists. He attended multiple workshops and seminars with all
the Alexander Art T.V. master artists as well as all the other PBS artists too
numerous to mention. He is certified with Alexander Art, Koh-i-noor Grumbacher
and Colart -Windsor Newton. Frank is a charter member of the S.E. Region T.E.A.M.
association.
More recently he has been attending portraiture
workshops locally with an internationally known portrait artist and additionally
with a Ringling Art school graduate who majored and specialized in Oil
Portraits. He continues his art education by taking local classes and workshops
at the Port Charlotte Cultural Center, year round with many talented retired and
active artists from all over the county. It is a never ending learning process
for the instructor as well as the student.
He has worked trade shows for Alexander Art as a
demonstrator of painting products performing and explaining the wet on wet
method of oil and Acrylic painting.
His many works have been displayed in such
prominent places as Art in Public Places, Charlotte County Arts and Humanities,
main office in Port Charlotte, Fl. His original works have been sold through out
the country.
