 I have always loved drawing and painting. In 1988, a friend of mine started me painting in the decorative painting styles and then I advanced on to the art of canvas painting techniques where I was  certified in oil and acrylic techniques through Alexander Art. Even though I work full time, I still find time to do my own paintings, commissioned paintings and be able to instruct painting classes on a regular basis’s. 

I have studied painting techniques from such artists as Brenda Harris, Robert Warren, Buck Paulson, Este Rayle, Gloria Lowery, Lynn Pittard, Valerie Stewart, Gary & Kathwren Jenkins, Bob Ross, Mary Lou Johnson, etc. Each artist’s have their own techniques and it is good to not only be able to teach but also enjoy taking painting classes from other instructors. You never learn it all and you are always learning new things. That is what makes it so wonderful to be able to paint and teach the painting techniques to others who also want to learn.
