| About the Artist
I was born in West Virginia, moved to Michigan and then to Florida. There I met and married my "Florida Cracker" husband of 42 years. I taught elementary school for over 20 years and "retired" to devote more attention to my art career and my aging parents. I am a mother of three and a grandmother of six precious grandchildren. I have studied with many fine artists and am still attending workshops to improve my abilities. I credit God with my talent and try to honor Him in everything I do, including teaching and encouraging others to learn to paint His glorious creations! I give Him humble thanks for all that He has helped me accomplish through the years. As a child I wanted to work for Disney, and I was always drawing, coloring or painting something. I currently teach in the county's adult education center, an art supply store, and in numerous private communities. In addition, I try to work on my own creations in my limited spare time. I believe that anyone can learn to paint...come along.
