Gouverneur, NY artist Wilson Bickford is multi-certified artist/instructor, having received his first teaching credentials from the William Alexander Corporation in January of 1993. Since that time he has also garnered certification status from other companies including Grumbacher Inc., Andree’ Art Corp., and Col Art America. 

For the past several years he has maintained an active class schedule and done “live” painting demos on the local television station in conjunction with the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon, to raise funds for “Jerrys Kids”. 

Although equally adept with pen & ink, acrylic, and pastel mediums, he finds that oils and watercolors are by far the more popular choice among his students.   

Wilson has been selected for teaching at the Alexander Art Silver Falls Painting Seminar in July 2003.  He is also designing some projects for a new upcoming Alexander book. 

He believes art does not have to be an innate talent, but can be acquired through study and practice.
