| About the Artist
Darlene was raised in Hocking Hills of Ohio. That would inspire anyone to
paint!!! Her painting got put on hold while she worked and raised a family.
In later years she moved up North close to Marion, and found Bill Alexander and
group on PBS. She has been an active painter ever since. Certifying
as instructor in 1994 she began teaching the wet on wet technique and is now
with the ColArt Artist Network.
Darlene has studied with Robert Warren, Brenda Harris, Este Rayle, Dorothy
Dent, Donna Wells and Kitty Gorrell and lots of artists, to many to name.
She has won many awards and has been featured in three Ohio newspapers.
She adores teaching beginners as she can still remember the great thrill of her
first painting. Darlene paints with oil and acrylic, but oil is her choice
of mediums.
